Tru Foods Ltd attends the 3rd annual Kenya Manufacturing Summit & Expo 2019!
Early this year, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers hosted the 3rd annual Kenya Manufacturing Summit & Expo 2019, dubbed the “Changamka Kenya Shopping Festival”. The event’s main objective among others, was to also serve as a bigger platform for celebrating the Association’s 60 years of existence and transforming Kenya’s Economy.
The Festival was held at Kasarani from 3rd – 7th April 2019 with the aim of showcasing the quality and diversity of locally manufactured goods made for local, regional and international markets. The five days event was curated to offer family fun-filled experience, tigger substantial super sales among the various sale points and a summit with a target of 250 local manufacturing exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors.
Changamka Festival’s main essence was to spearhead a celebration of the advancement of locally made products while highlighting their global positioning, showcasing them to the general public as well as promoting local consumption.
During the event, the Trufoods Ltd Team in conjuction with her mother company Pwani Oil Limited set up a wide display of all its various brands and products that range from table spreads, kitchen/cooking products, washing and cleaning products among others.
The collaborating teams led by Managing Director, Tru Foods Ltd Rajen Malde and Marketing Manager John Macharia got the opportunity to host at their stand various key goverment officials, investors, shareholders and sector players such as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Security, Mr Fred Matiangi.

In addition to the showcasing, the event also sort to provide a platform for Kenyan firms to sell their products during the mega sale which was also the key highlight of the event. The festival will also provide an opportunity to celebrate our manufacturing sector, its diversity and contribution to the socio-economic well- being of the people of Kenya.
