Taking well-informed, decisive action to help address climate change is a priority for our company. Climate change poses risks to our business and our stakeholders. By implementing an interconnected approach across our priority sustainability issues, we are reducing the Trufoods system’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and building resilience in our business, value chain and local communities.
Our Initiatives

Explore Trufoods' Climate Action efforts in our relentless pursuit of a greener tomorrow. From utilizing eco-friendly glass containers to harnessing solar energy and promoting recycling, we're actively working to combat climate change and create a more sustainable future.

Green Energy

In order to meet our energy consumption requirements, we have Integrated Solar photovoltaic (PV) system amounting to 25% grid displacement.

Recycling

Recycling prevents the emission of many greenhouse gases and water pollutants and saves energy. Using recovered material generates less solid waste. Recycling helps to reduce pollution caused by the extraction and processing of virgin materials.

Glass Containers

Trufoods see plastic pollution as an urgent priority. We can’t solve this problem alone, so we are collaborating with other stakeholders, research institutes and government bodies to building a transparent & impactful extended producer responsibility scheme in Kenya's Recycling & Circular Economy.
